Knit Fever, Knit Fever….

we know how to purl it, aw yeah!

Ok, so that was a smidge goofy. I’m missing my Lesley this morning; she went home sick. This weekend I cast on for BYOB. I’m already 10 rows into the body of the bag, and I’m not 100% thrilled with the colors; had I purchased yarn specifically for this, I wouldn’t have gone with the oatmeal color (picture tomorrow because I forgot the camera this AM). Still, the Seaspray and the purple are awesome. This is a really fun pattern, and I’m glad to finally be using the Rowan All-Seasons Cotton I purchased a while back. It seems silly that there’s probably a good $30 worth of yarn going into a grocery bag, but nothing is too good for my mom. ;)

I like the pattern enough that maybe next week I’ll grab some Lion Brand CottonEase and make a few more.

In the mean time, back at the ranch, I’ve got to wind some more skeins of my stash. The Great Cowl Festival needs to be put on pause before I grow weary of them. So, I have a skein of some Shimmer in Galaxy that is either going to become Flutter or a rather short Lace Ribbon Scarf. Maybe… who knows… Or maybe I should just shut my yap because it could be someone’s Christmas present (as though any of you are even reading this… Testing.. testing… sibilance… is this thing on?)
